Raquel grew up in the theater. But now she is a law student, avid runner and yogi. She hopes to dedicate her law practice to enhancing creative freedom for all types of artists.
Her passion for all things artistic stems from her training in the performing arts. Before law school Raquel spent her time training to become a professional ballet dancer. She trained with the American Ballet Theater, Houston Ballet, and Miami City Ballet and the Dance Theater of Harlem.
She graduated from UCLA in 2012, majoring in Communications and minoring in Anthropology and dance. Somewhere along the lines she decided she was enticed by the business side of the Entertainment industry and interned at Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps Production Company, and Abrams Artists’ Agency. One of her favorite memories is being on set for the filming ofPirates of the Carribean.
She has experience working in the Entertainment industry, both on the transactional side and in litigation. She hopes to find work at an agency after law school or in Entertainment transactions. Her favorite television shows are Downton Abbey, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, The Mindy Project and Homeland.
