Kate is a native Texan who migrated to Southern California in 2007 to attend Pepperdine University. Malibu treated her so well, she decided to stay in the area after graduation and make Los Angeles her home. Kate enjoys museums, travel, art, and topics of cultural heritage, so she majored in Art History and International Relations. She’s been lucky enough to travel the globe and see some of the world’s most famous works of art. She has even participated in an archaeological excavation in Rome, and spent a year interning at the Getty Villa Museum. However, Kate’s interests have expanded to other types of art and entertainment, including photography, film, and TV. She has worked for California Lawyers for the Arts, Paramount Pictures, and the Entertainment Department of Glaser Weil, LLP in Century City. One day, Kate hopes to be the general counsel for a studio or cultural institution and oh yeah, pass the California bar exam. But as Kate likes to remind herself: “If your dreams don’t scare you, then they’re not big enough.”
